Here are a few tips for buying a 5th wheel

Exterior Body
  • Look for a rusted frame, cracks, broken welds, any impact damage from something that it hit in the past.
  • Look at the tires and consider their actual quality. Also, make sure they are not over five years in age.
  • Have a professional look at the wheels and axles. Also, make sure to have the electric brake system inspected.
  • Are there any loose panels or damage on the fiberglass or aluminum siding?
Interior Body
  • Are there any leaks in the ceiling or soft areas on the floor?
  • How quickly does the door open and close? Is it a tight fit?
  • Do the windows open and close?
  • Do the appliances work?
  • If the interior is outdated how difficult would it be to update?

As always, spend the money and have a professional inspect your purchase before you sign on the dotted line. You may save yourself a bunch of trouble down the road.
